It is with great sadness that the family of Lissyamma Kurian announces her passing on Monday, October 29, 2018, at the age of 58 years. She was battling against her ovarian cancer since April 2017. She was born on April 29, 1960 to Kuruvilla and Annamma Abraham in Kerala, India. She was a registered nurse who worked in India, Saudi Arabia, New Jersey, and finally at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Lissy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and through prayer. She had an uncanny ability to reach out to people in a helpful and loving manner. Lissy will be forever remembered by her husband, Babby Kurian, and their precious daughters Joylyn (Jacob), Jacqulin, and Jasmine, by her siblings Annamma, Mariamma, Abraham, George and late Kuriakose. Lissy will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends.

A funeral service in memory of Lissy will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 with a viewing at 1:00 p.m. and a Christian Indian Orthodox service at 2:30 p.m. followed by interment at Green Lawn Cemetery, Panama Lane, Bakersfield.
